    Director of Youth Ministry Overview 
 Are you passionate about walking alongside young people as they grow in faith,
 discover their identity in Christ, and build lifelong community within the church? Mount
 Olympus Presbyterian Church, located in beautiful Salt Lake City, is seeking an
 enthusiastic, spiritually grounded, and relational leader to serve as our Director of Youth
 Ministries.
 This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established and congregation-supported
 youth ministry, guiding students in their faith journey through worship, service,

 Essential Functions
 • Foster a life of personal prayer and devotion in youth.
 • Provide opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
 • Recruit, train, lead, and care for youth ministry volunteers, including regular
 meetings to equip and support lay leadership.
 • Collaborate with the Director of Family Ministry and Family Ministry Elder(s) to
 maintain clear, measurable, and attainable goals for youth ministry.
 • Serve as the primary communication link between youth ministry and church
 staff, Session, and congregation; attend staff meetings regularly.
 • Lead youth fellowship gatherings, retreats, mission trips, and other ministry
 activities.
 • Use social media, email, and other tools to engage youth and families and keep
 the congregation informed.
 • Provide pastoral care to youth and their families.
 • Model relational discipleship by investing personally in the lives of youth and their
 families, with special attention to those with special needs.
 • Oversee the process of youth membership and baptism.
 • Partner with the Director of Family Ministry to create a unified annual calendar
 and ensure smooth transitions between Children’s and Youth Ministries, and
 between Middle School and High School.
 • Ensure all youth ministry activities comply with church safety policies, including
 background checks, safe ratios, and emergency procedures.
 • Plan and manage the youth ministry budget responsibly to support ministry
 goals.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
 • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in youth ministry.
 • Strong understanding of youth development and spiritual formation.
 • Effective communication and leadership skills, especially with youth.
 • Strong organizational, planning, and administrative abilities.Other Requirements

 continuing education.
 • Lead programming that invites students to experience Jesus Christ and become
 passionate followers.
 • Collaborate with the Pastor/Head of Staff and Director of Family Ministry.
 • Observe a weekly Sabbath for rest and renewal.Physical Factors

 who work closely with the Director of Youth Ministries. The Personnel Committee will
 also annually review compensation and benefits and make recommendations to the
 Session.
 Position Hours
 Hours are flexible, with a preference for candidates available to work full-time
 (approximately 32 hours per week or more).Salary and Benefits 
 The full-time salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000, based on experience
 and qualifications. Moving assistance may be provided for out-of-area candidates.

    Facilities Manager Job Title: Facility Manager 
 Location: Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church, Salt Lake City, UT
 Job Type: Full-TimeCompensation: Starting at a rate equivalent to $60,000 per year for 40 hours per week, with exact rate commensurate with experience 
 Reports To: Executive AdministratorJob Summary Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church is seeking a dependable and skilled Facility Manager to care for and maintain our facilities, grounds, equipment, and church-owned rental properties. This position is responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and repair of the church building, landscaping and grounds, major systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, alarms), and church-owned vehicles. The Facility Manager supervises and works with a part-time custodian to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that supports worship, childcare, ministry, and community activities. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, organized, hardworking, and trustworthy, with strong communication skills. Essential Functions - Facility Maintenance & Repair: Develop and follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance schedules. Perform repairs to furnishings, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC, and coordinate contractors as needed.
- Custodial Work: Perform daily cleaning of the church buildings, including the sanctuary, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and kitchen. Work in cooperation with the part-time Custodial Assistant, assigning tasks as needed and sharing responsibility for regular and deep cleaning.
- Grounds & Exterior Care: Maintain church grounds, landscaping, parking lots, signage, sprinklers, and snow removal.
- Compliance & Safety: Work with the Childcare Director to meet State of Utah safety, cleanliness, and maintenance requirements. Monitor facilities for hazards and address them promptly.
- Equipment & Vehicles: Maintain major equipment and church vehicles, including scheduling service, safety checks, licensing, and repairs.
- Event Support: Set up, break down, and coordinate cleaning for special events such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, concerts, and community gatherings.
- Communication & Coordination: Communicate regularly with the Executive Administrator, Childcare Director, staff, and Facilities Management Team regarding maintenance and facility needs.
 Qualifications - Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, custodial, and grounds maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
- Significant hands-on experience in building maintenance, custodial work, and groundskeeping required (5 years preferred).
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, congregants, and visitors.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible schedule with availability for emergencies and occasional events.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a Utah state fingerprint background check through the FBI.
